Integrated Management System

ISO

The mission of ORLEN Południe S.A. is to meet the needs and expectations of our Customers, ensuring their full satisfaction with the high quality of our products and services, while maintaining the attractiveness and competitiveness of our offering on the market. Our operations are conducted with respect for the natural environment and in continuous pursuit of reducing emissions to water, soil, and air. We strive to reinforce our reputation as a reliable and trustworthy business partner. In all our activities, we aim to ensure safety for our employees and all individuals operating or present on our premises and in the surrounding area.

The actions described above are reflected in the Company’s social and business mission, as well as in its Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Policy. This mission is implemented, among other methods, through the deployment and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System, which includes:

  • the Quality Management System compliant with ISO 9001,
  • the Environmental Management System compliant with ISO 14001,
  • the Occupational Health and Safety Management System compliant with ISO 45001.

These systems are aligned with international management standards and provide guidelines for the Company’s daily operations—ensuring high-quality products, professional customer service, increased awareness of safety and health protection, as well as respect and care for the natural environment.

Additionally, in the area of biofuels and biocomponents, we maintain the following systems as part of sustainable development:

  • since 2011: ISCC EU (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification),
  • since 2014: KZR INiG, administered by the Oil and Gas Institute.

System recertification is conducted annually in accordance with the deadlines specified in the certificates, ensuring continuity.

In 2021, a decision was made to extend the scope of the Integrated Management System to a new business area: the production of propylene glycol, glycerine, and hydrogen. The Quality, Environmental, and OHS Policy was updated, along with the Integrated Management System Manual. Processes for the new area were identified, and the remaining system documentation was reviewed accordingly. Certification for propylene glycols and glycerines was completed in December 2021. The audit team confirmed compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Certification for automotive grade hydrogen was conducted in April 2022, with auditors again confirming compliance and granting certification.

In the second half of 2022, a decision was made to extend the certification scope for Glycol Department products—propylene glycol and distilled glycerine—to the feed, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food sectors. As part of the implementation efforts:

  • the required approvals were obtained from external authorities: the District Veterinary Inspectorate in Chrzanów and the State Sanitary Inspectorate in Chrzanów
  • an internal directive introduced the Food Safety Management System covering the feed, food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics sectors, fulfilling the requirements of:
    •  GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice),
    • HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point System),
    • FAMI-QS (Feed Safety System for Additives and Premixes),
    • PN EN ISO 22000:2018 08 Food Safety Management Systems – Requirements for organizations in the food chain,
    • Halal certification,
    • Kosher certification,
    • QS system,
    • EP/USP Pharmacopoeia standards,
  • the management system documentation underwent a comprehensive review and was updated to incorporate the new requirements (in addition to updating existing documentation, new regulations were introduced, such as the Food and Feed Safety Policy, the Food Safety Management System Manual, the HACCP Plan, and the Prerequisite Program).
